Fabrizio Romano says Andoni Iraola open to Chelsea manager’s role

Well-known and well-respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that Andoni Iraola would be open to taking over as the Chelsea manager at the end of the season.

Iraola will leave his role as the Bournemouth manager at the end of the season.

Chelsea will appoint a new permanent manager at the end of the season, following the sacking of Liam Rosenior in the week.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Iraola, to my understanding, would be more than happy to continue in the Premier League.

“Iraola would be keen on the possibility of becoming the new Chelsea manager.

“But at the moment from Chelsea are still in early stages.

“Chelsea want to take their time and decide who is the ideal candidate.

“Still nothing advanced, still nothing done with Andoni Iraola.”
